§ 126.310. Bond Counsel.

  • Notwithstanding the limitations hereunder concerning awards of contracts for legal services, the provisions of this Part shall apply to the selection of, and negotiation with, bond counsel to represent the City and its independent agencies in financial matters, except that the selection of the best-qualified person, interested and available, shall be done by the General Counsel, subject to the approval of the City Council, with respect to services to be performed for the City, or by the governing body of an independent agency with respect to services to be performed for the independent agency. Upon selection of bond counsel, the selecting agency shall notify the Chief within one business day, and the Chief shall include the awarding of the service on the next PSEC agenda for informational purposes. The notifications set forth in this Section shall not create the requirement for any notices or advertisements not otherwise required by this Chapter 126.
