§ 462.313. Rabies quarantine area, rabies alert or restriction of infectious animals.

  • The DCHD and ACPS will make every effort to communicate and coordinate efforts with respect to any rabies quarantine area, rabies alert or other health emergency. Should the DCHD or ACP determine that a state of emergency exists within the City by reason of animals being infected by rabies or other infection or dangerous disease that shall constitute a danger to the public health, safety and general welfare of the City, the City may, by resolution, declare a state of emergency and may promulgate such other emergency regulations deemed necessary for the protection of the health, safety and general welfare of the City. Owners of animals must comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations relating to the quarantine of animals.
