§ 671.102. Findings and purpose.

Pursuant to F.S. section 125.01(1)(e), the Council of the city finds that it is empowered to provide ambulance and emergency medical services. Pursuant to Article VIII of the Constitution of the State of Florida, the Council further finds it has the authority to exercise broad home rule powers and as such finds that it is in the best interest of the citizens of the county to enact this chapter.

It is the purpose of this chapter to create the Community Automatic External Defibrillator Program which will establish requirements and procedures for use and training requirements and procedures for automatic external defibrillators (hereinafter known as "AED's").
