§ 710.124. Provision of supplemental services within the City.

  • A Franchisee shall be capable of providing, free of charge to the City, the following supplemental services on an annual basis. If the services itemized in this Section are no longer desired by the City or the area is already substantially being provided by an incumbent Franchisee, the City may, at its option, require an additional Franchisee to provide the equivalent value of such services in the form of alternative technological services.

    (a)

    "Expanded Basic" service to Duval County public schools.

    (b)

    High speed "Internet" access service to Duval County public schools.

    (c)

    "Expanded Basic" service to City-owned buildings.

    (d)

    High-speed data service High speed transport delivery of electronic mail service to City-owned buildings, (administration and servers are responsibility of the City).

    (e)

    Promotion of City-produced local programming:

    (1)

    One hundred fifty local advertising spots per month.

    (2)

    One billstuffer mailed to Franchisee's customers in Duval County (city responsible for printing).

    (f)

    "Virtual Channel" for City information.

    (g)

    Digital paging service to senior City officials. Maximum 100 pagers provided. Should the Franchisee cease to provide this service to its customers at any time during the course of the franchise, this requirement shall no longer apply.

    (h)

    Video/audio connectivity to locations designated by the Franchisee.

    (i)

    Single point to single point video/audio connectivity inclusive of basic camera, microphone and lighting between county courthouse and jail for "judge to prisoner" communication.

    (j)

    Use of Franchisee's television studios and personnel for local production.
