§ 804.607. Permits required for parades, processions and sound trucks.

  • (a)

    No procession or parade, excepting the forces of the United States armed services, the military forces of this state and the members of the Sheriff's Office and the Fire Divisions, shall occupy, march or proceed along a street or roadway except in accordance with a permit issued by the Sheriff and such other regulations as are set forth herein which shall apply.

    (b)

    No procession or parade, other than police-escorted funeral processions receiving prior approval from the office of the Sheriff (which approval shall specify the procession route), shall be conducted during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., except on Saturdays and Sundays.

    (c)

    The Sheriff is authorized to issue permits under F.S. § 316.559.

    (d)

    Violation of this Section shall constitute a class D offense.
