§ 651.101. Legislative findings.

The Council finds and determines that:
(a)

The City is experiencing continuous and increasing competition from other communities for attracting new jobs and retaining existing jobs within the City.

(b)

The City must provide assistance, direction, and facilitation as an incentive to businesses which create, provide or retain jobs within the City.

(c)

The number of jobs created, provided or retained within the City strengthens as well as diversifies our local economy.

(d)

The expedited permit process does not modify, qualify or otherwise alter existing nonprocedural standards for permit approval.

(e)

The expedited permit process would provide for an early identification of required permits and quicker, less costly, and more predictable permit approvals.
