There is hereby created the
Treaty Oak Park Trust Fund
(Trust Fund), a permanent, ongoing trust fund which shall carry forward each fiscal
year and not lapse. All such funds derived from donations of money made for the general
purpose of maintaining or improving the Treaty Oak tree and surrounding park shall
be deposited into the Trust Fund and expenditures from the Trust Fund shall be restricted
to the aforementioned maintenance or improvement to the Treaty Oak tree and surrounding
park. Upon certification by the Director of Recreation and Parks that an expenditure
meets the aforementioned criteria and upon appropriation by the Council, the Director
of Finance and Administration is authorized to make disbursements from the Trust Fund.
