§ 111.245. Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Wall Trust Fund.

  • There is hereby created a Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Wall Trust Fund (Trust Fund), a permanent, ongoing trust fund which shall carry forward each fiscal year and shall not lapse. All such funds as may be derived from donations of money (whether from personal or corporate donations or from grants or appropriations of governmental funds) made for the purpose of financing construction of a memorial wall to display the names of all Jacksonville and Duval County residents who died in the course of military service from the time of the Spanish-American War are hereby appropriated (as they are received) by the Council for the purposes of conceiving, planning, siting, engineering, constructing, maintaining, updating and otherwise facilitating the perpetuation of an appropriate memorial wall honoring the memory of these veterans. The Director of Finance and Administration (or designee) is authorized and directed to make disbursements from the Trust Fund upon the written request of the Director of the Department of Recreation and Parks (or designee).
