§ 122.801. Definitions.

  • As used in this Part 8:

    (a)

    Accountable officer means the person who is responsible for an item of tangible personal property within his jurisdiction, notwithstanding that a custodian has been appointed for the property.

    (b)

    Awards Committee means the Awards Committee created in Section 126.202.

    (c)

    Custodian means the person to whom the custody of City property has been delegated by the City under this Part.

    (d)

    Owned means and includes ownership by the City acquired by purchase, gift, donation, escheat or other transfer of the right to use, possess and dispose of tangible personal property. Property purchased with state or federal funds, which must be returned to the state or the United States (unless otherwise provided by the respective government), is considered to be owned for the period during which it is in the control and possession of the City, and until custody thereof is accepted by the appropriate state or federal agency or officer.

    (e)

    Property or tangible personal property means those items of a nonconsumable nature, the value of which is $1,000 or more and the normal expected life of which is more than one year.
