The purpose of this Part is to establish a full-time Office of Inspector General in
order to provide increased accountability, integrity, and oversight of the entire
consolidated government, to assist in promoting economy and efficiency, improving
agency operations, and deterring and identifying waste, fraud and abuse. This Part
shall not apply to the Office of the State Attorney, and the Office of the Public
Defender.
