§ 718.102. Clay Electric Co-Operative, Inc. and Okefenokee Rural Electric Membership Corporation.

  • Until such time as the JEA acquires the electric system facilities and properties of Clay Electric Co-Operative, Inc. and Okefenokee Rural Electric Membership Corporation which are located within the city, neither the Clay Electric Co-Operative, Inc. nor the Okefenokee Rural Electric Membership Corporation shall furnish electric service to any additional premises or extend its lines into or within any areas within the city unless it is or shall be authorized to do so by the Council; but the licensing and taxation by the city of the existing business and properties of the corporation within the city shall not be deemed to constitute this authority.
