§ 804.632. Driving of trucks or parking of certain trucks and recreational vehicles prohibited in residential areas.

  • (a)

    No truck of one ton or more capacity or recreational vehicles in excess of 20 feet in length or eight feet in width shall be parked on the street or street right-of-way or other public property in a residential district, unless engaged in temporary loading or unloading. Violation of this subsection shall constitute a class A offense.

    (b)

    The City Highway Engineer is authorized to designate streets upon which no truck of one ton or more capacity shall be driven where signs generally stating NO TRUCKS IN EXCESS OF ONE-TON CAPACITY or similar language have been erected by the City Highway Engineer on such residential street. The City Highway Engineer shall designate a street as such when it is found that the vehicle would damage the street or such a prohibition is necessary to protect public safety.
