§ 651.104. Administration.

  • Due to the number of different agencies of the City responsible for issuing or participating in the issuance of permits, no one agency of the consolidated government is assigned the sole administrative responsibility for administering this Chapter. Nevertheless, this Chapter imposes specific duties and responsibilities upon agencies which perform particular functions in the review or issuance of permits in the City including associated inspections of the same. These duties and responsibilities shall be performed and carried out in conformity with the legislative intent expressed in Section 651.103. It shall be the responsibility of the Office of Economic Development to coordinate and implement the provisions of this Chapter and may include assistance, direction and facilitation of development permits of significant economic development projects with regional, state and federal agencies.
