§ 651.105. Criteria/certification.

  • Significant economic development projects shall be those projects certified by the Executive Director of the Office of Economic Development which shall create, provide or retain at least 100 jobs; create, provide or retain at least 50 jobs in the Jacksonville Enterprise Zone, Identification No. EZ1601; create, provide or retain at least ten jobs as determined by the Executive Director to be a significant economic development project due to the proposed wage and skill levels relative to those existing in the area in which the project may be located, the project's potential to diversify and strengthen the area's economy, and the amount of capital investment; or create, provide or retain at least ten jobs associated with the redevelopment of a brownfield site or brownfield area designated pursuant to the provisions of F.S. §§ 376.77—376.85, projects certified by the Governor through the Office of Tourism, Trade and Economic Development pursuant to the provisions of F.S. § 403.973, Expedited permitting, shall be determined to meet the provisions of this Chapter without further action by the Executive Director thereof. Jobs shall be defined as full-time equivalent positions not including construction jobs.
