§ 111.333. Criminal Investigative Services Trust Fund.

  • There is created the Criminal Investigative Services Trust Fund , hereinafter called the Fund, a permanent, ongoing trust fund of the City, which shall carry forward each fiscal year. The Fund is authorized to accept gifts, fees, State and federal grants, seized and forfeited property, funds and proceeds, appropriations and other donations and contributions designated to this Fund. Any such gifts, fees, State and federal grants, seized and forfeited property, funds and proceeds, appropriations and other donations or contributions received by the Sheriff or by the Tax Collector shall be deposited into the Fund, for use in support of long term narcotics and other investigations. All such gifts, fees, State and federal grants, seized and forfeited property, funds and proceeds, appropriations and other donations and contributions shall be accounted for separately within the Fund and shall be administered by the Sheriff. All sums placed into the Fund are hereby appropriated for distribution for the purposes set forth herein. Any undistributed funds shall not lapse at the close of any fiscal year, but instead shall carry over to the next fiscal year. The Director of Finance and Administration, or his or her designee, is authorized and directed to make disbursements from the Fund upon written requisition of the Sheriff, or his or her designee, subject to the availability of funds in the Fund.
