There is hereby created and established a
Police Explorer Trust Fund,
a permanent trust fund of the City into which shall be deposited all donations, gifts,
grants, transfers and funds as may from time to time be received by the City. All
sums placed into this fund, together with any interest accrued, are hereby appropriated
for the benefit of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Police Explorer Post, and such
appropriations shall not lapse at the close of any fiscal year, but instead shall
carry over to the next fiscal year. The Director of Finance and Administration or
his designee is authorized and directed to make disbursements from the fund upon the
written request of the Sheriff or his designee.
